We are very excited to welcome Norwegian utility Kystnett as a new Heimdall Power customer.
Following the recent signing of a new contract, the Norwegian DSO will instrument a key part of their 66kV regional grid, to enable new electric consumption for an important industrial plant in the region. By continuously monitoring both the actual and the predicted future capacity of the line, Kystnett is now aiming at being able to safely operate their grid with the required additional load, without having to make changes to the current infrastructure.
The project will be an important measure for the company to get practical first-hand experience and learn about the possibilities for increasing power-flow in their exisiting infrastructure. If successful, this could allow for even more connections in the future, which would accommodate for the green transition and increasing demand for electricity currently taking place in the region.

Kystnett, translating to Coastal Grid, is located in the northern parts of Norway, with an operating area that is no stranger to extremely harsh weather conditions, especially throughout the winter months ahead of us. Hence, this will be another great opportunity for the Neurons from Heimdall Power to demonstrate their great build-quality and durability, even in the roughest of conditions.
