Utilizing Iridium’s CertusTM 9704 module, Heimdall Power’s sensors can now deliver real-time, actionable data to utilities from any location.
Heimdall Power is proud to announce a new partnership with Iridium Communications Inc., the market leader of global voice and satellite communications.
By integrating Iridium’s new Iridium Certus 9704 module, Heimdall Power’s NeuronTM sensors can now reliably send critical power line data, such as temperature, ground clearance, and electric fault localization over the Iridium® network from even the most remote locations to the Heimdall software platform.
“By adding satellite communications, we can now provide our customers with full system-wide grid awareness, since we are now able to place sensors anywhere in the grid.” said Heimdall Power CEO, Jørgen Festervoll.

“Heimdall Power’s integration of the Iridium Certus 9704 into the Neuron sensor is exactly the type of unique application we had in mind when developing this module,” said Iridium CEO, Matt Desch.
“By transmitting more power without building new powerlines, the Neuron helps saves time and money, especially in remote places where only Iridium can reach. Heimdall Power is leading innovation and showing what’s possible.”
