We are proud to welcome Schleswig-Holstein Netz as a new Heimdall Power customer.
Schleswig-Holstein Netz GmbH is a distribution system operator (DSO) based in the northernmost region of Germany, where they manage both the natural gas and power grids across Schleswig-Holstein. Looking ahead, the company is set to deploy software and sensors from Heimdall Power to implement Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) in a congested part of their grid, which spans over 52,000 kilometers in total.
As part of the HanseWerk Group, Schleswig-Holstein Netz is committed to becoming climate neutral by 2030, with innovations in the power grid playing a critical role in achieving that goal.
The objective of this initial project between the two parties is to alleviate grid congestion in the selected area, thereby enabling greater electricity transfer in the region.
"We expect to improve our existing dynamic line rating system in both utilization and safety with sensor data. We are looking forward to the test pilot with Heimdall.”

During the last few years, Heimdall Power has established a strong foothold in Germany, with Schleswig-Holstein Netz becoming the ninth Heimdall Power customer in the country.
Senior Growth Manager at Heimdall Power, Gerhard Biedenbach, is very excited about the development in the country and the new project.
“It is great to see how more and more German utilities are adopting our solutions, and I am really looking forward to getting started with this project, which aims to relieve congestion by utilizing our uniqe DLR-services in the given area in the grid of Schleswig-Holstein Netz. The collaboration so far has been great, and I think this has the potential to become a long-lasting and very good collaboration for both parties in the years to come!”
