The DSO is located in the Western parts of the country, where they serve more than 135 000 households on a daily basis. For the next 5-10 years, they have identified a clear need to increase the transmission capacity of their grid significantly.

As a part of that process, they are now implementing Virtual Neurons from Heimdall Power across their whole grid to perform Heimdall DLR. This will serve as a first step in the collaboration between the two companies, where Energienetze Offenbach will use the insights from the Virtual Neurons to identify the optimal locations for placing out physical Neurons from Heimdall Power in their grid in the future.

Senior Growth Manager at Heimdall Power, Gerhard Biedenbach is excited about the company’s newest project in his country.

This is a truly groundbreaking project, our first-ever where we will go 100% with our scalable Virtual Neurons, so I am very excited to see the results, which will start to come in very soon. It has been a pleasure to work with Energienetze Offenbach throughout this process and I look forward to establishing a solid relationship with them over the coming years.
