We are delighted to announce that Heimdall Power is partnering with Great River Energy for a project on Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) in Minnesota.
Following up on our first U.S. contract last week, this marks the second contract in the U.S. for Heimdall Power. Going forward, we will soon deliver our industry-leading DLR-solutions to Great River Energy.
Great River Energy is a Minnesota electric cooperative that operates approximately 5,100 miles of high-voltage transmission lines. The Heimdall Neurons will provide them with real-time Dynamic Line Ratings, enabling Great River Energy to identify additional transmission capacity in their grid.

Dynamic Line Rating is one of the ways U.S. utilities can meet the requirements of FERC Order 881, whereas Ambient Adjusted Rating is another. At Heimdall Power, we are a world-leading supplier of both types of technology. Our self-developed Virtual Neurons are also compliant with the Requirements of Order 881, striking the perfect balance between cost-efficiency, ease of deployment and precision.
