Heimdall Power is happy to announce that we are entering into a multi-year agreement with ESB Networks and EirGrid in Ireland.

Combining the Heimdall Neurons with our software we will now provide Dynamic Line Ratings (DLR) to ESB Networks and EirGrid.

ESB Networks is the Irish transmission grid owner and EirGrid is the Irish transmission system operator (TSO). The solutions from Heimdall Power will give EirGrid insight into the true transmission capacity of the lines in question. This is done by measuring the true operating parameters of the line. In this way, it will now be possible to connect additional renewable power, new industry, and accelerate the electrification of fossil-fueled energy consumption.

The agreement will also contribute to making the Irish green energy transition more affordable and more secure, while also making contribute to realizing it faster. With a goal of becoming net zero by 2040, they simply have no time, and we at Heimdall Power are here to help them making it happen.

Heimdall Power's CEO, Thomas Wikberg, is happy to contribute to the ambitious plans of the Irish grid companies; “We are proud to work with ESB Networks and EirGrid to improve grid utilization and realize the Irish ambitions of net zero by 2040”.
