German DSO buys from Heimdall Power for the third time, surpassing 100 sensors to make it the biggest sensor-based Dynamic Line Rating project in Germany to date.
Following the promising results from the previous project phases, leading German DSO Bayernwerk Netz GmbH is now scaling up with Heimdall Power once again, less than a year after their previous expansion of our collaboration. More than 100 Neurons will soon be deployed to perform Dynamic Line Rating on key lines in Bayernwerk’s network, with the installation process already in progress.

This is the third time Bayernwerk is purchasing from Heimdall Power in about 1,5 years, reflecting the immediate value provided by the Heimdall Power solutions, and Bayernwerk’s impressive ability to rapidly implement and extract value from new, innovative solutions.
Bayernwerk CEO, Dr. Egon Leo Westphal, made the following comment on the expansion of the existing collaboration:
“The results of our pilot project last year were convincing. Heimdall Power's intelligent technology provides us with a whole range of real-time data that helps us to optimally utilise existing grid infrastructure. We can also channel more renewable energy through the grids. An important contribution to unleashing the energy system.”
Dr. Egon Leo Westphal, CEO Bayernwerk AG
This new project with Bayernwerk is now the second-biggest in the history of Heimdall Power, and the largest among 11 deployments with utilities in Germany.
“Our growth in the DACHS region has been quite remarkable in the past couple of years, and with this new expansion of our existing project with Bayernwerk, we are taking grid monitoring in Germany to the next level. I recently had a fantastic meeting with Dr. Westphal in Munich and I’m very excited that our two companies now will work even closer going forward.”
